In the northernmost region of Pakistan lies Skardu, the central valley of Gilgit-Baltistan, known for its breathtaking beauty, peacefulness, and untouched wilderness. This valley serves as a gateway to some of the highest mountains in the world, including K2, K3, and Gasherbrum, all connected through this region. Despite its remoteness, Skardu boasts modern amenities in various remote locations such as Deosai, Khaplu, Kharpocho Fort, Shigar, and Baltoro Treks. These towering mountains attract climbers from around the globe every year, although some have tragically lost their lives in their pursuit to conquer these challenging peaks.
Itinerary
Day 1
Explore the picturesque Shangrila Lake and Soq Valley in Skardu. Begin by being picked up from Skardu Airport and then head to Lower Kachura Lake. Immerse yourself in the enchanting atmosphere of Shangrila Resort and continue your journey to Upper Kachura Lake. Discover the stunning landscapes of the Soq Valley. Spend the night in Skardu.
Day 2
After breakfast, transfer to Jeeps and embark on a scenic drive to Deosai. Experience the tranquility of Satpara Lake and explore the vast meadows of Deosai Plains. Make a stop at the charming Bara Pani stream and admire the beauty of Sheosar Lake. Check-in at the hotel and enjoy the peacefulness of Deosai for the night. Stay overnight in Deosai.
Day 3
Enjoy breakfast and visit Kharpocho Fort, also known as the King of Forts. Take a short trek to Nonsaq Organic Village and explore its unique charm. Visit the captivating Katpana Desert and spend the night in Skardu.
Day 4
After breakfast, depart for Khaplu. Marvel at the magnificent Manthoka waterfall and experience the rich heritage of Khaplu Palace (Khaplu Fort). Visit the beautiful Chaqchan Mosque and stay overnight in Khaplu or Manthokha.
Day 5
Start the day with breakfast and head to Shigar Valley. Feel the thrill of Sarfaranga Desert and engage in exciting activities such as quad biking, horse riding, jeep safaris, and paragliding at Sarfaranga Desert (additional cost). Discover the captivating Blind Lake and admire the beautiful Amburik Mosque. Explore the historic Shigar Fort and spend the night in Shigar.
Day 6
You will be dropped off at the airport, marking the end of the services provided.
