Hunza Valley is a popular destination for tourists visiting Pakistan. It is a picturesque and enchanting valley surrounded by majestic snow-capped mountains. Situated approximately 100 kilometers from Gilgit, Hunza is a small valley located on the Karakoram Highway.
The central area of Hunza, known as Karimabad, consists of six villages. The first village you encounter when coming from Gilgit on the Karakoram Highway is Aliabad. From here, you can enjoy breathtaking views of Rakaposhi mountain (7788 meters). There are accommodations such as PTDC Motel Hunza and several small hotels along the highway. Above Aliabad, on the hillside, you’ll find Altit and Baltit villages, which are the heart of Hunza. These villages feature a fascinating bazaar and two forts, Altit and Baltit, with the latter recently restored and transformed into a guided museum.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Islamabad Airport
Pickup from the airport and travel to Naran. Spend the night in Naran and explore the scenic beauty of Naran Valley.
Day 2: Journey to Babusar Pass
Travel to Babusar Pass and enjoy the breathtaking sights of Lulusar Lake and Babusar Pass itself.
Day 3: En route to Gilgit
Continue the journey to Gilgit and explore the local attractions, including the junction point of three mountain ranges.
Day 4: Heading to Hunza
Proceed to Hunza and discover the local sights, such as Altit Balti Fort and the Rakaposhi viewpoint. Enjoy an overnight stay in Hunza.
Day 5: Exploring Attabad Lake and Khunjerab Pass
Visit Attabad Lake and witness the stunning beauty of Khunjerab Pass. Return to Hunza for the night.
Day 6: Travel Back to Chilas
Travel back to Chilas. Travel to Naran via Babusar Pass . Stay overnight in Naran.
Day 7: Return to Islamabad
Depart for Islamabad and spend the night in the city.
Day 8: Departure
Leave for your home country, concluding the tour.
