Marsur Rock

Marsur Rock is a unique sloping stone at an altitude of approximately 3,300 meters above sea level, located in Hussain Abad, Skardu. The formation of the rock resembles Trolltunga in Norway, which is situated at an altitude of approximately 1,100 meters. Marsur Rock was discovered by a local photographer from Skardu while capturing landscape photographs of the Skardu valley from different high points in the mountains around Skardu. When they reached Hussain Abad, they hiked up and saw a horizontal rock at the highest point, which looks like Trolltunga in Norway.

From the viewpoint, you can see all the valleys of Skardu and its surroundings. This is the perfect place for hikers, photographers, nature lovers, and travel enthusiasts. You can capture the best photographs of Skardu from this point.

Trek to Marsur Rock

Trekking to Marsur Rock is an easy and short trek from Skardu city. The trek to this unique rock starts from Hussain Abad. While driving from Skardu city, you will find a road leading to the mountain side, and after a 10 to 15-minute drive, you will reach the point from where the hiking trail starts. The total hiking time is approximately 2 to 3 hours to reach Marsur Rock.

You can complete the trek in one day and immerse yourself in the serene beauty of Marsur Rock and the highest viewpoint of Skardu. If you start the journey in the morning from Skardu, you can conclude it before nightfall in Skardu.

Hussain Abad waterfall

This waterfall is situated in Hussain Abad, near Skardu city. When you are traveling to Khaplu or Kharmang, after a five-minute drive from Skardu city, you will reach Hussain Abad. You can see the waterfall on your right side when traveling from Skardu city. If you want to hike to the waterfall, it will take around 20 to 30 minutes from the road.
