K7 Expedition

K6 K7 Trekking

K7 is the beautiful peak of Karakoram located in Charkusa valley of Hushe, this peak also known as Charkusa peak situated within the Saltoro and Masherbrum range of Karakoram. Charkusa is the land of mountains such as K7 (6935M), K6(7282M) and Drifika peak ( 6447M). The peak was first examined by Harvard mountaineering club in 1955. A team of Japanese university students made its first attempt in 1984 via the southwest ridge.

The expedition to the peak starts from Hushe Valley, the accessible point by jeep. The trekking journey proceeds to Saicho, Dalxangpa, and then to the basecamp. The basecamp is fully covered with lush green beauty, adorned with a variety of flowers and glaciers. Surrounding the basecamp are some famous mountains such as K6, Fida Tower, Drifica Peak, Naiza Peak, and others. Hushe Valley serves as the gateway to the southern face of the Karakoram Mountains. This range includes the king of mountains, K2, as well as Gasherbrum, Broad Peak, and other surrounding mountains of the range.
