K2 Base Camp and Gondogoro La Trek is a once-in-a-lifetime trekking experience on the world’s most famous trekking route. During this amazing journey, you will encounter the king of mountains.

Gondogoro La stands at an altitude of 5,585 meters above sea level and is the famous pass of the Karakoram. The pass offers panoramic and breathtaking views of the peaks and glaciers of the Karakoram.

K2 Base Camp

The K2 Base Camp trek is a famous trekking spot in the Karakoram, and every year, numerous trekkers make the journey to K2 Base Camp to witness the king of mountains. The trek passes through the famous Baltoro Glacier, which is the fifth-longest non-polar glacier, with a length of 63 km. This unique trek offers multiple experiences on the journey to K2 Base Camp, including beautiful landscapes, deserts, pastures, glaciers, etc. K2 Base Camp itself is a very unique place to visit because it is in front of K2, the second-highest mountain in the world. After crossing the Baltoro Glacier, Concordia is the next destination. Concordia, known as the “Throne Room of the Mountain God,” is the junction of the Baltoro and Godwin-Austen glaciers. From this point, the routes to K2, Broad Peak, and Gasherbrum begin.

Gondogoro La

Gondogoro La, at an elevation of 5,650 meters above sea level, is a famous trekking pass that connects Concordia to the Hushe Valley. To the northwest, Hushe Village is located, a settlement of humans in the Ghanche district. Gondogoro La is a challenging pass in the Karakoram, but the view when you reach the top is rewarding.

Starting Point

Typically, the trekking journey starts from Askoli, the human settlement and the accessible place by road.

Itinerary of the trek

Day 1: Arrival in Islamabad

Islamabad arrival and welcome by our staff at Islamabad international airport.

Day 2. Fly to Skardu

Scenic flight via Karakoram and Himalaya.

Day 3: Skardu (2,228 M)

Rest and preparation day in Skardu city.

Day 4: Drive to Askole (3,048 M)

Drive to Askole.

Day 5: Trek to Jhula (3100 M)

Trekking through a Braldu river.

Day 5: Trek to Paiju (3,360 M)

Trekking through the beautiful landscapes along the Braldu River.

Day 6: Trek to Khoburtsa (3,760 M)

Trekking through Baltoro Glacier.

Day 7: Trek to Urdukus (4,130)

Day 8: Acclimatization and rest day at Urdukus

Day 9: Trek to GORO II (4,250 meters)

Day 10: Trek to Concordia (4,600 meters)

Concordia is the junction of Baltoro and Gowdin Austin glacier.

Day 11: Trek to K2 basecamp and back to Concordia

Trek to Basecamp of the king of mountain, a close-up view of K2 then back to Concordia.

Day 12: Trek to Ali Camp (5000 M)

Trekking towards Gandogoro.

Day 13: Trek to Gandogoro (5,600)

Trek to Gandogoro top and descend to Khiuspang.

Day 14: Trek to Saicho (3,350 meters)

Trek to Saicho the campsite of Hushe.

Day 16: Trek to Hushe

Trek to Hushe village.

Day 17: Drive to Skardu

Early morning drive to Skardu.

Day 18: Fly to Islamabad or Drive to Chilas

Flight back to Islamabad.

Day 19: Contingency day in case of delay

In case of any delays, we reserve a contingency day.

Day 20: Fly to home country

Flight back to home country with a memorable journey.
