Gasherbrum II, also known as K4, is the second-highest mountain among the Gasherbrum peaks and the 13th highest in the world. Gasherbrum II is the easiest and safest to scale among other 8000ers in the Karakoram. The height of this magnificent peak is 8035 m above sea level, and it neighbors K2 and Broad Peak. The first ascent of this peak was made by an Australian team led by Fritz Moravec, along with Hans Willinpart and Josef Larch, on 8 July 1956.
Trans Karakoram Treks, Tours, and Expeditions are offering climbers the opportunity to scale this masterpiece of the Karakoram with our professional services, tailored itineraries, and seasoned expert guidance, along with hygienic food prepared by our expert chefs. The expedition journey begins from Islamabad, followed by a flight to Skardu city via the Karakoram. After a day of rest and preparation in Skardu, the journey continues with a jeep drive to Askoli, the last accessible village by road. The following morning, the trek commences on foot, and after six days of trekking, the group reaches Concordia, the junction of the Godwin-Austen and Baltoro Glaciers. The next morning, the trek proceeds to the basecamp of Gasherbrum Peak. The basecamp for Gasherbrum I and II is the same. After some days of rest at the basecamp, the expedition sets off for Gasherbrum II.
