Naran-Kaghan

Naran-Kaghan is located in the Mansehra district of the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) and is 247 km away from Islamabad, approximately a 5-hour drive from the capital of Pakistan. Naran-Kaghan is the gateway to northern Pakistan, and its natural beauty attracts visitors. Actually, Naran-Kaghan is a combination of two words: Naran and Kaghan. Naran is a tourist attraction in the Kaghan Valley, surrounded by lush greenery and meadows. Kaghan is also famous for the crystal-clear Lake Saiful-Muluk. Saiful-Muluk National Park features high-altitude lakes near the Naran Valley and is part of the Kunhar River. This lake is situated at an altitude of 3,224 meters above sea level.

Hunza

Skardu

Skardu is a gateway and the commercial hub of the Baltistan division. Baltistan consists of four districts: Skardu, Ghanche, Kharmang, and Shigar, with Skardu serving as the center of Baltistan. Skardu, also known as the “Tourism Capital of Pakistan,” is the gateway to the world-famous Karakoram mountain range, which is home to five 8,000-meter peaks: K2, Gasherbrum I, Gasherbrum II, Broad Peak, and Nanga Parbat. It also hosts other climbing peaks like Gasherbrum IV, Spantik, Masherbrum, K7, Trango Tower, Chogholisa, Rakaposhi, and other peaks of the Karakoram.

The Upper Kachura Lake is a hidden gem in Skardu, yet to be explored by many tourists due to its remote location and lack of infrastructure. Satpara Lake is another beautiful destination, located at an altitude of 8,650 ft and sourced from the melting ice of the Deosai Plains. The Deosai Plains, also known as the “Land of Giants,” are home to brown bears and rare species of flora and fauna. The mesmerizing Sheosar Lake, the highest lake of its kind in the world, is situated amidst the vast plains of Deosai, offering a captivating view of the surrounding greenery and mountains, including Nanga Parbat.

Ghanche

Ghanche, formerly known as the Khaplu Valley, derives its name from the Balti language, meaning The Land of Glaciers There are numerous glaciers in this region, with the largest and most famous being the Siachen Glacier, covering an area of 47 miles. Ghanche consists of three sub-valleys: Hushe Valley, which hosts Mashabrum Peak and many other peaks; Saltoro Valley, home to the Siachen Glacier; and Chorbat Valley, which borders India. Ghanche is renowned for its rich culture, majestic mountains such as Mashabrum Peak, Laila Peak, K6, K7, and many more, as well as ancient mosques like the Chaqchan Mosque.

Shigar

Shigar is home to K2, Broad Peak, Gasherbrum I & II, and other peaks of the Karakoram range. The Biafo and Baltoro glaciers are also located in this valley. This valley is rich in agricultural culture and is also home to the historical Shigar Fort. Most Karakoram adventures pass through this valley. Additionally, this valley produces the best fruits such as apples, apricots, and walnuts. Visitors must explore this area, as there are plenty of spots and attractions to discover.

Kharmang

Early morning journey will  proceed to Hunza, by crossing the Chilas, Nanga Parbat view point, Gilgit city  then night in Hunza.

Day 5: Drive to Karimabad
