The Big Five Basecamp Trek is a once-in-a-lifetime experience to explore the giants of the Karakoram in a single trip. Trans Karakoram Treks, Tours, and Expeditions
is organizing this unique adventure, offering visitors the opportunity to explore the gems of the Karakoram in one journey. The Big Five Basecamp Trek includes all
the mountains with altitudes exceeding 8,000 meters above sea level in Pakistan. The trek covers the basecamps of Nanga Parbat, K2, Broad Peak, and the
Gasherbrum basecamp.
There are 14 peaks in the world with altitudes above 8,000 meters from sea level;
five of them are in Pakistan, which are:
- K2, 8611 meters
- Nanga Parbat, 8126 meters
- Gasherbrum I, 8080 meters
- Broad Peak, 8051 meters
- Gasherbrum II, 8035 meters
Four of them are located in the Karakoram range: K2, Broad Peak, GI, and GII, and the fifth one, Nanga Parbat, is in the Diamer district of the Himalayan range. The Big Five Basecamp Trek is a unique experience to explore all the 8000ers in a single trip. Not only the 8000ers, but you will also encounter other peaks of the Karakoram. The journey of the trek starts from the 2nd most beautiful capital of the world, Islamabad. On the 1st day, Trans Karakoram staff will receive you at Islamabad International Airport and transfer you to a hotel. The next morning, the journey starts towards Chilas to trek to Nanga Parbat basecamp. After the trek to Nanga Parbat, the trekking proceeds towards Concordia, the home of the four 8000ers: K2, Broad Peak, Gasherbrum I, and II.

Trekking journey start towards the 4 basecamp of Karakoram.
Day 6: Trek Jhula to Paiju.
Day 7: Rest and acclimatization day at Paiju.
Day 8: Trek Paiju to Khoburtse
Day 9: Trek Khoburtse to Urdukus.
Day 10: Trek Urdukus to Goro II.
Day 11: Trek Goro II to Concordia.
Concordia is the junction of Baltoro and Gowdin Austin glaciers.
Day 12: Trek to Broad Peak and K2 basecamp.
Day 13: Trek back to Concordia.
Day 14: Trek to Gasherbrum basecamp.

Day 25: Trek back to Fairy Meadow.
Day 26: Trek back to Raikot bridge and drive to Chilas.
Day 27: Drive to Islamabad via Babusor.

Day 29: Fly to home country.
