K2 Base Camp Trek 2025

The K2 Base Camp trek is a famous trekking spot in Karakoram, and every year, numerous trekkers make the journey to K2 Base Camp to witness the king of mountains. The trek passes through the famous Baltoro Glacier, which is the fifth-longest non-polar glacier, with a length of 63 km. This unique trek offers multiple experiences on the journey to K2 Base Camp, including beautiful landscapes, deserts, pastures, glaciers, etc. K2 Base Camp itself is a very unique place to visit because it is in front of K2, the second-highest mountain in the world. After crossing the Baltoro Glacier, Concordia is the next destination. Concordia, known as the “Throne Room of the Mountain God,” is the junction of the Baltoro and Godwin-Austen glaciers. From this point, the routes to K2, Broad Peak, and Gasherbrum begin.

Itinerary of the trek

Day 1: Arrival in Islamabad

Islamabad arrival and welcome by our staff at Islamabad international airport.

Day 2. Fly to Skardu

Scenic flight via Karakoram and Himalaya.

Day 3: Skardu (2,228 M)

Rest and preparation day in Skardu city.

Day 4: Drive to Askole (3,048 M)

Jeep drive of 6 to 8 hours 

Day 5: Trek to Jhula (3100 M)

Trekking through a Braldu river after 6 hours hiking you will reach Jula camp.

Day 5: Trek to Paiju (3,360 M)

7 hours hike

Trekking through the beautiful landscapes along the Braldu River.

Day 6: Trek to Khoburtsa (3,760 M)

4 to 5 hours hike to reach Khoburtse camp site.

Day 7: Trek to Urdukus (4,130)

6 hours hike 

Day 8: Acclimatization and rest day at Urdukus

Day 9: Trek to GORO II (4,250 meters)

7 hours hike 

Day 10: Trek to Concordia (4,600 meters)

5 hours hike 

Concordia is the junction of Baltoro and Gowdin Austin glacier.

Day 11: Trek to K2 basecamp 

Trek to Basecamp of the king of mountain, a close-up view of K2.

Day 12: Trek back to Khobrtse (3560 M)

Day 13: Trek back to Paiju (3380 M)

Day 14: Trek back to Askoli (3050 M)

Trek back to Askoli the last village.

Day 16: Drive back to Skardu 

After experiencing the majestic K2, back to Skardu city.

Day 17: Flight to Islamabad 

Day 18: Contingency day in case of delays 

Day 19: Fly to home country
